3 Ways for SEO in WordPress

SEO otherwise known as Search Engine Optimization is crucial for websites. No matter what the purpose of your website is, focusing on SEO will repay you in the long run.

Focusing on making your website known to the rest of the world is crucial when it comes to ranking high in search results . WordPress is great as it does some of the hard work for you. Here’s my top 3 ways to make sure your website gets ranked in search results.

  1. Content is King! If there is one thing you implement out of this whole list, it should be this one. Create content and lots of it! Ideally, the text will contain keywords which, the search engine will pick up. There are several plugins you can download to assist you in this like Squirrly or Yoast. However, keep in mind your content should be written primary for visitors, not for search engines!
  2. Share links with others and yourself!  Exchanging backlinks are very important. The more “arrows” pointing to your website, the better! You can have your link featured on other people’s website through guest blogging or through affiliate links. You also have the option to be able to link within your own web pages. This helps bots and visitors navigate through your website.
  3. Share to your social media accounts! When you write a new blog post, create or update a new page, or make any kind of sustainable impact to your website, share it to the world! By sharing it on your social media accounts, you are helping promote your website and make it known to bots.

These are the top three ways that you can implement SEO on your website. With these simple tips, it can be done in a couple minutes over time. I would recommend focusing on working towards  building your content, sharing it on social media, and then asking to share links.
